Physical,
Occupational and Speech Therapy
Our attached clinic maintains a high-quality therapy unit operated by
NOVA CARE. This provides an on-site rehabilitation service that is offered to residents of Pelican Valley Nursing Home in the form of evaluations and treatment of neurological and/or physical disorders by a registered physical, occupational and speech therapist.
Residents are evaluated with problems related to range of motion, upper and lower extremity coordination, balance, endurance/tolerance, activities of daily living and perception. Residents receive rehabilitation, communication, and cognition services according to their individual needs and as ordered by their physician.
The short-term goal is to improve the resident's functional ability and to encourage the resident to be independent in activities of daily living. The long-term goal is to have the residents reach their highest possible functioning level.
